“All warfare is based on deception.” Sun Tzu Added pseudo ray traced field of view: -An enemy around the corner is a worse surprise than one you saw coming, positioning can be life/death. -Works both ways. You can use cover to ambush or slip past.

Rome wasn't built in a day. This roll feature I planned to add long ago. Back then I had only a few buttons, so I postponed it. Now it works cohesively across camp, battle and army, it's easy to add more modules. #pixelart

"The arrow, once released, answers to no man." Reactive system forced a rework of projectile mechanics. This is last one about units for now. -Added a small physics engine where projectiles have their own height and parabolic trajectory. -If the shooter misses, the projectile continues -The example here is 100% accuracy but for stationary units only: moving enemies can dodge more easily. -Friendly fire works. -Javelin animation is still a diffrent story #pixelart #indiedev

“Let the shield go, I can buy another just as good.” Archilochus -Switching to the backup weapon means dropping the polearm -You can recover it after the battle, unless it broke and got thrown away, which happens -Polearms are cheap to replace, unlike armour and forged weapons #indiedev

546 BC. Phocaea falls and its people flee west by sea. You are one of them. Maps do not exist yet. What sailors keep is a periplus: a record of one route, harbour by harbour. Pixel Formation has no minimap, or some arrow, only periploi you collect or make. #indiedev

Adding new units and polishing! Instead of sweet talking and trading, you can burn and pillage everything in your path and build your legend on terror. To crush simple farmers, a handful of citizen archers is more than enough. #indiedev
