Therapy has replaced religion in the West... But more specifically, I would say that it has replaced confession and repentance found in historic Christianity. Instead of confessing to priest, who then gives you practical and spiritual guidance to make positive changes in your life... People are confessing to a therapist who, more often than not, is just affirming your delusions and never pushing you to take real accountability. Great convo from Chris Williamson and Freya India
