ASU HC Kenny Dillingham was asked by a reporter today if he is going to Friday night’s #AZHSFB matchup between Basha and Hamilton. This was his response ⬇️ “I don’t know yet, it just depends. I usually don’t attend games (when ASU has) home games. I’m different than a lot of people, I’m about our football team, and it’s a game week, and it’s Friday, and if people that are from this state choose to come to this school then I’ll care about them. New ASU HC Randy Bannett on why Gonzaga played a factor in his decision to leave Saint Mary's. "I kinda felt like, man, I don't know how much more we could do, and with Gonzaga leaving, it's going to be harder to do, not easier to do. Kenny Dillingham said one of the reasons why ASU recruited freshman RB Cardae Mack was because of his abilities as a QB and RB in high school. Dillingham went on to say that he loves recruiting athletes who can play multiple sports, especially basketball. "I love guys who play basketball. NAU HC Brian Wright spoke on the challenge of retaining players at the FCS level. Kenny Dillingham on how he expects Arizona State's in-state golden ticket recruiting initiative to continue to evolve. Dillingham said there will always be people who don't like how ASU recruits the state of Arizona, but he feels the steps ASU is taking are working. "We're in an era where if you don't get an early offer, the school doesn't like you. Arizona State athletic director Graham Rossini said Randy Bennett's team will be competitive in the NIL space, thanks to many people who've stepped up. However, Rossini doesn't believe that NIL should be ASU's biggest selling point. He used examples of players like Jordyn Tyson, Kenzie Brown, and Cole Carlon as athletes who could've gone somewhere for more money but stayed at ASU. I talked to first-year Saguaro head coach Butch Goncharoff yesterday about what the last few weeks have been like. Goncharoff said it's been a whirlwind trying to get things switched around, but he's really proud of the kids who stuck around and how they're competing. “Process over outcomes” is something he stressed is important right now. “Any coach in the country only wants one thing, and that’s effort,” Goncharoff said. “It’s cool to hear people like (Jason) Mohns come up and go, ‘Man, that was impressive.’ It’s a special place, and he built it, I mean, he's a heck of a ball coach. “We’ll bring (Saguaro) back, guarantee it.” ArizonaVarsity.com 🔥PREPS🔥
