🚀 Sisko’s SECRET Galaxy-class In #StarTrek Did you know Captain Sisko eventually commanded a Galaxy-class starship? Following the events of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Benjamin Sisko’s story continued in the Star Trek novel continuity. Eventually, he returned to Starfleet. His new command was the USS Robinson, NCC-71842; a Galaxy-class starship just like the legendary Enterprise-D. But unlike Picard’s Enterprise, the Robinson was sent on a long-term exploration mission into the distant Gamma Quadrant. And yes, that meant Sisko was heading back through the Bajoran Wormhole. The Robinson became Sisko’s home as he embarked on an entirely new chapter of his life, years after his disappearance into the Celestial Temple. It’s one of the most fascinating Galaxy-class ships that never appeared on screen. And we’ve covered the entire history of Sisko and the USS Robinson over on Trek Central! 🖖 NEW #StarTrek Movie Updates from #SDCC 2026! A NEW Star Trek Movie is coming! Well, we know that. It was announced in November 2025. However, we now have new information from the Writers and directors. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley spoke at San Diego Comic Con 2026, during Collider’s Directors panel. The pair confirmed that a script for Paramount’s next Star Trek feature film is in progress. They’re both very excited about it and revealed people will be surprised. As it’s also been confirmed in the past, the upcoming movie won’t feature characters we’ve seen in past Star Trek movies. Instead, there will be a new take on that. However, the most interesting detail comes from the statement that the movie takes place a little further into the future than we’ve been before. Before anyone panics, this could mean a few things. Of course, it could suggest we’re going even further than the likes of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. However, I think the Directors perhaps mean into the future past where the Kelvin Movies take place. So perhaps closer to The Next Generation, but sometime before that. Let me know what you think!
