I spoke with someone at Austin Animal Services today. They did not have any news on the status of Major the Belgian Malinois. From what they told me, the city of Austin was going to euthanize Major in the absence of a court order enjoining them from doing so. I have since been told that something of a mutual agreement had been reached giving another two weeks grace. I cannot confirm that, however. For those who don’t know, Major is a Belgian Malinois who has been kept in isolation for over 500 days because the dog bit someone after it was struck by a vehicle. The owner, who was homeless at the time, tied the injured dog to a porch while he went to get help. In the interim, some good Samaritans tried to help the dog, but the dog bit one of the good Samaritans causing relatively substantial damage to the arm. Worth noting, the good Samaritan wanted nothing to do with the euthanizing of the dog. The dog was his service animal. The owner has been fighting the order to euthanize the dog. The dog has been in isolation for over 500 days. I was given the contact information for the director of Austin Animal services, Monica Dangler. I left her a very respectful voicemail, and I encourage everyone to do the same. I will also send her a respectful email, and I encourage everyone to do the same. I am not being glib or double-fakey: please keep it respectful, for two reasons. It’s not clear who is making the decisions here, so taking out your rage on Monica might be misdirected. And being rude and/or threatening will likely also be counterproductive to the end goal, which is to save Major. So please, out of respect to me, a man who loves dogs more than most humans, be respectful in the messages you leave. We are trying to save the dog, not justify a cathartic release of anger on someone who may or may not even be responsible for the current situation. It’s amazing how Pride attendees think they can break the law with impunity. This is where disinformation actually prejudices the righteous criticism of the underlying issue here. In this particular instance, nobody set a firefighter on fire. He went to kick a fire, and apparently there was an aerosol can that combusted. But when people repeat this disinformation, it will allow the protesters, migrants and those who want to ignore this political issue / discredit those who object to it to do so.

The more she talks… Everyone needs to appreciate what Candace Owens just admitted to here. “The footage that you saw in court, that I saw in court, was in effect modified”. Do you understand what that means? It means that the original foot wasn’t modified, but because of the format it was in (fisheye/surveillance video) it was “in effect” modified. Meaning that she (or more likely her government source) modified the video/still frame to “correct” the manner in which the surveillance video was “in effect modified”. I will be revisiting my original post to make sure the community note is taken down. This is exactly what I have been saying from the beginning. Are you suggesting that there are two videos from the exact same angle, one in higher resolution from which you got the still, and the other grainier, wide-angle surveillance footage that was submitted as evidence at the preliminary hearing? Or are you suggesting that the original video was in high resolution, and the video footage submitted as evidence during the preliminary hearing was altered/distorted before being submitted? FYI: this will not be the first time people shared an AI enhanced version of a screenshot claiming “this is not Tyler Robinson” And while I have your attention: have you released the unredacted receipt yet? I lived in Paris for a year in 1999. Other than beautiful architecture (which they only preserved by capitulating to the Nazis), good coffee, baguettes, and banana Nutella crêpes from street vendors… It was a powder cake when I lived there nearly 30 years ago. I lived on Boulevard Saint-Michel in the 5th arrondissement (not where the picture was taken). There were protests every Saturday. Real protest, not this rioting and looting. There were arrondissements that you absolutely avoided because they were no go zones. The destruction of France has been decades in the making.

Disaster and military training base in Alberta, Canada. It has now been well over 12 hours, with no definitive explanation/statement from Canadian authorities. The problem is that censorship in Canada is institutionalized. This incident occurred at a remote military base. If it is something more sinister than a tragic accident, we will likely never know. I have heard people floating the theory that this was a training exercise in an area where they should not have been training, possibly hit a gas pipe or other buildings containing munitions. But hearing that there were winds of 100 km an hour, I do wonder why they would be training in those kinds of conditions. Will be following and updating as information comes in.

We kicked the sh*t out of their case” Defense attorney then proceeds to say that the judge will “identify the juror” who is the sole holdout for a full finding of not guilty by reason of insanity. This seems like egregious juror intimidation. The sidebar that was done publicly, singling out the apparent sole juror, is basically putting a target on that juror’s back for when they will invariably be publicly identified. I don’t know if this is standard protocol. But it certainly seems abnormal and very dirty.

From what I am hearing from people who are much closer to the ground, this was quite clearly something much different than a “violent fast moving fire”. Mark Carney knows it. And barely 5 minutes later, she is forced to apologize for that outrageous lie. “I’ll apologize, it wasn’t at Robb elementary.” It was somewhere else in Uvalde County. I am not necessarily a believer in demonic possession. I tend to think people are either mentally ill or just bad people, not necessarily demon-possessed. But this could convince me. Remember that girl who flashed her nipple at Charlie Kirk? She’s back on camera, and has clearly become mentally ill, demonically-possessed, or simply evil. Or the perfect combination of all three.
