In 1967, during the Six Day War, Israel liberated Eastern Jerusalem from the Jordanian occupation, and reunited her capital city. Sadly, later on, Israel made a mistake and gave the control on Temple Mount to the Muslim Waqf. The Waqf did exactly what a dominating colonial power would do to the sacred site of a native people: bulldozed it to eradicate what was there.
