GILLIAN ANDERSON NEWS: Gillian Anderson just appeared in a new podcast with Conan O’Brien. In it, she revealed a fun anecdote with X-Files creator Chris Carter, on the shooting of The X-Files second movie, I Want to Believe. “Chris told me that there was a particular way that we used to speak in the show that wasn’t a normal rhythm and syntaxe, it was slightly backwards, which felt like it was almost part of the cryptic aspect of the series. And it wasn’t until we were working on the second feature; I was sitting in a parked vehicle waiting to shoot and our showrunner and creator Chris Carter came up to me, who was directing the feature, and he looked at my sides, where my lines were, and he said: Look, no widows! and I said: What are you talking about?! He said: No, no widows. On the little paragraphs that each character has, the words went all the way to the end, with the period, so you didn’t end halfway through that line, it was a perfect rectangle. So, the dialogue was designed visually… for nine years.”

NEW VIDEO: Chris Carter about removing the MSR from I Want to Believe: “It became a Mulder and Scully relationship story that happened to have a scary element in it. And, also, what I couldn’t have forseen is that there would be two X-Files reboots: season 10 and season 11. So, people… they got their fill of Mulder and Scully. And I felt that going back to this movie, I wanted to take some of that out, because we had gotten our fill just recently. X-FILES MUSIC: This is the hauntingly beautiful track that Chris Carter has removed from The X-Files: I Want to Believe - Vrach Frankenshteyn: “The Surgery” from X-Files magnificent and beloved composer, the late Mark Snow. Ironically, it was considered by many as one of the most profound tracks of the score. Instead, it will be replaced with a song from the Irish band Clannad. How do you feel about that?
