E20 petrol has, drumroll 20% ethanol in it. Considering the mileage drop people are witnessing I expected it to be greater than 20%. This is not a lab test and result is just an approximation. Phase separation, rusted tanks, other risks, watch full video:

Phase separation needs water + months. Fresh fuel doesn't separate. Modern tanks are plastic they can't rust. The real risk is the pump's tank, not your car.

This situation would have been reversed if it were a Thar, Fortuner or Scorpio N in front of me. In such situations, usually the more expensive of the two cars has more to lose, so always better to concede. Basic driving hygiene and manners are rare occurrence in India.
