Last little section of the farmers field we checked had some surprises. PFM-1 anti-personal mines are nasty, and if you step on one, its going to be a bad day. Thankfully we were able to locate and get these mines set for destruction. See for your way to make a difference and support our mission. Another great day of helping others here in #Ukraine. Today was spent on a farmers field checking for mines and UXOs. We visited this farmer over a week ago and I told him we will help him, and keeping to our word, we are back. Day two in Kharkiv has been rewarding to say the least. We were able to join our friends and partners Roza Na Ruke and Be A Hero UA on an evacuation in the Oblast of grandma, grandpa, dog, cat, Lada and a trailer full of their belongings to safety. Today was another reason why our team does what we do, to help others. Our 13th mission is just getting started and if you'd like to support see and make a difference today.

The Special Forces Regiment lost one of our own recently in Bakhmut. Nick Maimer was a former 19th Group Green Beret and a personal friend who came over to Ukraine and lived our motto, To Free the Oppressed (De Oppresso Liber). As Green Berets we have a belief we are willing to die for, No one gets left behind. So we Green Berets will escort our fallen brother home. Please pray for his family as they grieve and remember that freedom is not free. Nick lived and died to Free the Oppressed.

I've been asked about our mission in Ukraine and if things will change for our NGO after last weeks Oval Office meeting. Our mission in Ukraine does not change! U.S. veterans working together with Ukrainian veterans for a mine free Ukraine so the innocent cought in the middle do not have to live in fear of their next step.

The OZM-72 is my humbled opinion is the most dangerous antipersonal mine in Ukraine. Oftentimes tripwire activated, this bounding mine is extremely lethal for humans and animals. When mechanically initiated the OZM-72 can stay armed for years, waiting for its victims. Finding and disposing of them is necessary because the unfortunate reality is, innocent civilians will find them the hard way.

September 12th, 2010 is the day I stepped on an IED in Afghanistan that nearly took my life. 15 years later, on my 11 mission to Ukraine, im using that experience and pain I went through to help others. Working together with our Ukrainian partners to remove landmines and explosive hazards, so no one, especially innocent children, will have to go through the pain that I experienced. God doesn't waste pain. Pain is an incredible teacher if you allow it, so use the experiences in life to build yourself up and make yourself stronger so you can help others. Do not waste pain.

Getting everything packed and ready for our next mission in a few weeks. This has been a crazy week for sure, but I'd like for you to remember this. Landmines are indiscriminate killers that do not care about politics. I'll leave it at that. What do landmines in Ukraine have to do with me? I've been asked this question a lot. It's about humanity. It's about the oppression landmines bring, living in constant fear, a prison in your own village, and home. Most will never understand this fear, but it is a reality for many globally, especially in Ukraine, the most Mined country in the world. At our mission is simple. Making areas safe so the innocent can start to put the pieces of their life's back together again without living in fear of their next step. Our big Ukrainian fundraiser in Dallas is coming soon. The TM62-P3 AT landmine is a majority plastic which makes detection more difficult then high metallic mines. Minefield operations obviously comes with a certain level of risk, and these plastic mines add another layer of danger mine action teams face in Ukraine. #Ukraine #UkraineWar #humanity #donations

After yesterday's #AlaskaSummit, I've seen a lot of extreme narratives and opinions being posted on social media from both sides. I've also been asked my thoughts and opinions, which is simple. Landmines are indiscriminate killers that do not care about political opinions, your feelings or beliefs. Regardless of the outcome from the Peace Summet, landmines and explosive hazards will keep injuring and killing long after the last shot of this war is fired. Although I do have my personal and political opinions, they do not belong on social media or on a minefield. My mission of a mine free Ukraine will always come first. Had modest expectations for our D.C. trip given recent world events, but I was pleasantly surprised! We shared our mission in Ukraine with Congressional members, had an incredible meeting with the State Department (more details to come). Furthermore, we were approved for the 2025 Combined Federal Campaign — our team crushed it! We’re moving forward fast, so visit to see how you can make a difference.
