It’s always interesting to go back and see what actions start a sequence like this. In the video on the left, it appears OSU #75 drives Mich #0 to the ground well after the play, which would be a personal foul. The video on the right shows us what really happened. Mich #0 grabs #75 by the face mask and pulls him down. To make matters worse, Mich #6 then shoves #75 down. What should have happened here, in addition to an ejection, Mich #0 should have been penalized for the face mask and Mich #6 should have been penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for the late shove down. Each would be enforced separately half the distance to the goal.

Here's the all-22 from an interesting play from last night. Seems the receiver veers directly into the path of the defender, who is tracking the pass in flight, which causes the defender to put his hands out in response. Looks awfully incidental to me. Especially considering that contact in no way significantly hinders the receiver.

This will likely end up being one of the most bizarre replay reversals this year. The runner is correctly ruled short of the goal line (albeit shorter than it should have been). Replay reversed to touchdown. He has the ball in his left arm and touches the pylon with this right hand. The ball becomes dead at the point and the foremost point of the ball is the dead ball spot. That spot is clearly behind the hand that touches the pylon. It's impossible for the ball to have broken the plane at that point. The Referee's announcement is equally bizarre. The ball never came close to touching the pylon.

Here are two angles not shown on the broadcast. Neither are indisputable, but on the first angle, a case can be made that the hand came off the ball which is a loss of control and makes it incomplete. Regardless, Replay should have stopped for review.
