Saw this steer calf yesterday showing the classic signs of a stone partially blocking his urethra, making it painful to urinate. Got him in and gave him some analgesic and muscle relaxant and some antibiotic for possible localized infection, per vet advice. Not water belly yet.

I see a lot of people in videos, scratching their animals standing directly in front of them and scratching them on the head, I highly recommend always standing off to the side, it’s safer. Years ago my Dad had his ribs broken by a pet bull that swung his head.
