Morez Johnson's defensive versatility is one of my favorite elite skills in the 2026 NBA Draft. These playoffs are yet again showing us the necessity to have defensive versatility and physicality. At 6'9" 250 pounds, Johnson can defend nearly anyone on the court and lock up all three levels. Johnson is one of the best all-around defenders in this class.

Every time Darryn Peterson is on the court it's so clear that he's the best player in this draft. He's such an effortless scorer, moves well without the ball, is a smart passer, and an impactful defender. It's crazy how well rounded and polished he is this early in his career.

Isaiah Evans showed the exact type of growth you'd hope to see from an off ball shooter this year. I don't really care that his 3PT% fell from 41.6 to 36.1 because he went from being a spark plug bench shooter to the 2nd offensive option. What I do care about though is the growth in crucial areas that showcase his improved decision making and offensive versatility. Assist rate: up from 6.4 to 8.4 (yes still way too low) Assists/game: up from 0.5 to 1.3 FT rate: up from 17.5 to 26.5 2PAs: up from 34 at 50% to 150 at 56.7% At rim scoring: up from 58.3% and 55th percentile on 24 attempts to 64% and 75th percentile on 100 attempts

Thomas Sorber is arguably the most well rounded C in the 2025 NBA Draft. He is a fantastic rim protector and rebounder with a really interesting offensive skill set. The shot isn't a tool yet, but there are encouraging signs. Even if it never comes along, his finishing versatility, PNR versatility, and passing is more than enough for him to thrive. 7.6 BLK% 2.6 STL% 21.9 DREB% Opponents shot just 48.3% (2nd) at the rim when he was on the court

Nate Ament keeps getting more comfortable in an off-ball role with Tennessee. I really liked how he relocated and found open pockets against Rutgers. They're using him as a screener and keeping him 1 pass away too which makes life really difficult for the DEF. I also may be turning a corner with his on-ball creation potential which I'll dive into more in my scouting files on Friday. Just a theory I'm working on. Tomorrow's test against Houston should be an awesome one.

Kasparas Jakucionis is still one of my favorite players in the 2025 NBA Draft. I get the concerns over the drop off in his shot late in the year, but everything about his game screams that he's a pro. Jakucionis is one of the most versatile and creative on-ball creators in this class. His footwork, use of angles, balance, and change of pace is a nightmare for defenses to deal with. He showed dynamic shot making all year and was tremendous at the rim (61.8% on halfcourt layups). Don't overthink one of the most creative and malleable players in this draft.
