The life expectancy following standard of care for brain cancer is the same today as it was in 1926. Once you know that cancer is a disease driven by glucose and glutamine fermentation and that the very treatments you're using increase glucose and glutamine fermentation...

All major cancers have damaged mitochondria, preventing them from sufficiently converting oxygen into energy. Instead, cancer cells ferment glucose and glutamine, which acidifies the micro environment around the tumor. This acidity reduces efficacy of common cancer therapies

All clinical studies of cancer should be targeting glucose and glutamine while the patient is in nutritional ketosis, because the science tells us that's what we should do. The cancer cells themselves are telling us this is what we should do. (Full clip

There are some hospitals now opening "medicine for cancer survivors," because there are patients experiencing a new realm of health issues as a result of surviving these horrific, toxic treatments. However, with metabolic therapy we can manage cancer without toxicity.

Our recent study describing how cancer cells ferment the amino acid glutamine caused many people to ask which dietary habits will lower glutamine levels in the body. However, while diet can greatly reduce blood glucose levels, there is no dietary practice that can meaningfully lower glutamine. Additionally, glutamine is essential in several body processes, including the immune system. While intermittent glutamine inhibition via glutamine targeting drugs can be effective against cancer, glutamine targeting should be done carefully and under the supervision of a knowledgeable caregiver, as described in our recent paper: We are now working to determine the best dosing, timing, and scheduling of such diet-drug combined therapies. 6 out of 18 glioblastoma (brain cancer) patients maintained a low GKI for 6+ months. All 6 lived at least 33 months. At the time the study was published, 1 of them was still alive 84 months after diagnosis. Of the 12 who did not maintain a low GKI, just 1 lived more than 30 months. Cancer patients who still wish to use standards of care can first use metabolic therapy to reduce the acidification of the tumor microenvironment. This allows standard treatments like chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy to be much more effective.

Some professionals recognize that cancer cells ferment in the cytoplasm, but few acknowledge that all major forms of cancer also ferment inside the mitochondria. If we are to make meaningful progress in cancer management, we must understand it all begins in the mitochondria. Watch the full interview: Read the full publication:

"Regrettably, standard [Glioblastoma] therapeutics are not designed to take advantage of the metabolic vulnerabilities of cancer cells; instead, they focus on DNA repair mechanisms. In fact, as an unintended consequence of non-specific cell damage, radiotherapy has been shown to induce detrimental metabolic changes and inflammation in the tumor microenvironment..."
