I need your help. 🙏 I just came across this attachment… And I can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve literally got goosebumps. This could be a serious game changer for the farm. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Or better still… Do you know a local fabricator who can recreate something like this? If you know someone who builds or sells agricultural equipment like this… Please tag them below. This is one piece of equipment I genuinely want to get my hands on. Seeing it alone is making me happy in ways I cannot even describe 😭

Some market traders will test your patience. 😂 This afternoon, one almost gave me high blood pressure. A group of women traced our maize farm all by themselves. They told my workers they wanted to buy 6 bags of fresh maize. My workers called me. I asked one simple question: “How much are they offering per bag?” The answer came back… ₦15,000 per bag. I was surprised. We normally sell for ₦13,000. I immediately told my boys: “Harvest it and bag it for them.” A few minutes later… The 6 bags were ready. Then the drama started. They looked at the bags and said: “This isn’t how we bag maize in the market.” No problem. I told my workers to let them re-bag it however they wanted. You won’t believe what happened next. They rearranged 6 bags into just 3 bags. 😂 I was still trying to process that… Then they dropped the real bombshell. “We’re not paying ₦15,000 again.” “Since we came to the farm ourselves, we’ll only pay ₦9,000 per bag oh.” I was so angry I nearly asked my boys to use cane and chase them out of my farm. That’s when I knew what was happening. The maize had already been harvested. They probably assumed we’d panic and accept the lower price rather than look for another buyer. Wrong farm. I politely told my workers not to continue with the transaction and asked the buyers to leave. Then I made a few phone calls. Within a short time, we found another buyer who wanted 16 bags. I simply told my boys: “Go back into the farm.” “Harvest more.” I will send truck to the farm now We’ll load the maize together with some plantain. One lesson I’ve learned in farming: Never negotiate from desperation. The moment buyers know you have options… The conversation changes. My fellow farmers what’s the craziest negotiation you’ve ever had with a buyer? I know this can’t be the worst story out there.

“How much can you make from farming GINGER on HALF PLOT OF LAND” I am running this experiment as a bet between me and my guy that’s a pepper farmer and I am like let me carry my people here along so you can see. The bet is half plot of ginger farm will yield more profit than 1 acre of habanero pepper in 7 months 5million naira is on the line for me. Because most people still think you need acres of land to make millions of Naira from agriculture. I have always been against that belief. So How much can you actually make from ginger farming without owning acres of land? Let’s break it down Video in frame 1 is On April 23rd, 2026, we planted just 3 bags of ginger (210kg total) on half a plot of land. Today, at 7 weeks after planting, the farm is looking promising. No fertilizer has been applied yet. No fungicide sprays yet. Just chicken manure applied during land preparation. Video in Frame 2 is fast forward to 7 weeks after planting… The field is already looking strong and developing steadily. But this isn’t even the interesting part. The interesting part is what this small farm can potentially return. Based on our projections: Worst case (underperforming farm): 15 bags harvest Moderate performance: 21–24 bags Best case scenario (everything goes right): up to 30 bags And that 30 bags is our target All this from half a plot. half a plot. 42 bunches of plantain for ₦70,000. I thought the woman was joking. She wasn’t. We harvested a lot of plantain last week, but my boys mistakenly missed some bunches. So we decided to go back today and harvest the remaining ones. In total, we got 42 bunches. Instead of calling our regular buyers, I said… “Let’s even sell to those women by the roadside today.” They are always waving at our trucks whenever we’re loading plantain out of the farm. I figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have them as small-scale buyers. After all… There is nothing like having too many customers. Little did I know we were about to receive the biggest shock of the day. The moment we parked, the women rushed over. They were all smiling. Laughing. Talking. They insisted we should bring every bunch down so they could inspect them properly. My boys brought everything down. These women touched every bunch. Pressed every bunch. Turned them around. Checked the size. Checked everything. After they were finally satisfied… We started talking price. I told them we were giving them a good price because they were first-time customers. ₦65,000 per dozen. Since we had 42 bunches (3½ dozen), the total came to ₦227,500. I even rounded it down to ₦220,000. The next thing that came out of one woman’s mouth nearly gave me high blood pressure. She said… “We cannot pay more than ₦70,000 for everything.” ₦70,000. For all 42 bunches. I didn’t even argue. Immediately she finished talking, I told my boys… “Load everything back into the vehicle.” She quickly changed tone. “Ahh… it’s not a fight now. Let’s negotiate.” I told her… “It is a fight oh. You cannot price my sweat like that and tell me it’s not a fight.” “I don’t negotiate with wicked people.” “I don’t negotiate with enemies of progress.” As she realized i was really angry, she started talking to my boys directly. I immediately told every one of them… “Nobody should answer her.” We loaded everything back entered the vehicle and drove off. Straight to Lagos. We took it to one of the restaurants we normally sell to. The same plantain… Was later Sold for ₦270,000. As a farmer, always make sure you have options. And for the sake of your mental health avoid those women that sell produce on the road side the are the worst customers Also Having multiple buyers is not a luxury. It’s your bargaining power.

The moment I get a notification, I’m already tuned in zooming, rotating cameras, watching everything like a live movie 🎬🌧️ Before my workers even report that a plantain tree fell, I’ve already counted how many went down 😭😂 At this point, it’s me and the rain monitoring the farm together.
