Many people think the spin rate world record is Nolan McLean's 3599RPM curveball, but this is only because Hawkeye can't record anything >=3600RPM at 60fps. So I did some postprocessing* to get the ACTUAL highest spin rates of all time: 10. Garrett Richards, 3633RPM Curveball (2018-04-09)

It was harder than I thought, but I promised and therefore I delivered. This is a 4D reconstruction of a pitcher's throw, using OpenBiomechanics 8-camera setup & Gaussian splatting. It achieves 24.3 dB, BETTER than @lukeblomm's 22.1, and captures the background super well!

I spent 100s of hours grinding out manual labels this summer so that we can measure command! How? By measuring the distance between the catcher's target VS where the ball landed. There's more to come, but here's 10 pitches from the All-Star Game: (📽 FOX Sports: MLB)
