Kawhi Leonard requested to avoid all questions about the NBA’s investigation into him, the Clippers, and the salary cap circumvention: “You want to hear about the investigation.., but in talking with the NBA and PA, I think the best decision is to move forward and focus on my time being a Toronto Raptor. ... I just want to focus on basketball.”

Asked Tyronn Lue about Natalie Nakase coaching the Golden State Valkyries to the WNBA Finals in her second year. “I congratulated her on beating a very good team. Becky Hammon, the best coach in the WNBA and the Aces, they won [3 of the last 4]. Going in to beat a team like that, it tells you what kind of coach Natalie is. I'm happy for her. She asked me if I have any tips going into the Finals, I said, ‘you don't need my advice. You're way better than me. You're doing a better job than I am. So you got it. You've done a great job.’ I'm very happy for her.” Me: “She said she's so locked in, she forgets to eat.” Ty Lue: “She better eat. Can't have her passing out again on the court.” Justin Russo: “Have you gotten any tips from her?” Ty Lue: “Not yet. If she wins it all, she's probably gonna give me some tips. She'll be here the next day.”

Victor Wembanyama’s full comments today on the shooting of another civilian by federal agents in Minneapolis: “PR has tried, but I'm not going to sit here and give some politcally correct [answer]. Every day I see the news and I'm horrified. I think it's crazy that some people might make it seem like or make it sound like it's acceptable, like the murder of civilians is acceptable. I read the news and sometimes I'm asking very deep questions about my own life. I'm concious also saying everything that's on my mind will have a cost that's too great for me right now, so I'd rather not get into too many details. It's terrible. I know I'm a foreigner, but I live in this counrtry and I am concerned.” (Questions via Tom Orsborn, Mike Finger, video via Hector Ledesma)

Bradley Beal was pretty candid as to why he re-signed with the Clippers despite having options in free agency and the Kawhi investigation: “Obviously, I'm getting older, I can go try to win and go chase winning and I had plenty of opportunities to go do that, but I can't be of service to them either if I'm not healthy. My biggest thing is being healthy and making sure that I can consistently play, consistently be available. It's been a knock on me the last 4 or 5 years. And I can't shy away from that. My biggest thing is who gives me the best advantage of being available, being myself consistently, and I have a great relationship with the staff here and I entrusted them with putting me in that position. I feel like if I went anywhere else, I'd be starting all over again, kind of putting a lot of unnecessary stress pressure on myself to perform and do things.”

Billy Mac dropped some interesting stats on the broadcast: "The Lakers have shot 233 more free throws coming into this game than their opponents this year. Far and away ahead of the 2nd place team, the New York Knicks... Oddly, the Lakers are dead last in drives to the basket."

Kawhi Leonard apparently had his shake fall and spill in front of his locker causing a visible mess. When asked, he told us: “I was mad at halftime so I threw my shake everywhere. That’s what happened.” I apparently did not catch the joke and him saying, “that’s a lie,” so asked about it again, to which he said: “I’m done, I’m done for the night. Haha I didn’t throw the shake, I just said that.”

Deni Avdija received loud ovations inside Intuit Dome last night from Blazers fans and Israelis who came out to support: “I'm focused on the game a lot, but it, it... It gives me goosebumps every time I see how many fans are behidn the bench and cheering and loving and shouting my name. It's the best thing ever, you know. Especially in the holiday when we're away from home, being here and seeing all of the State of Israel, the Jewish people of L.A. being behind me, it means a lot to me and it makes me play better… I never get used to it. It's always amazing for me and I'm very grateful to have this fanbase.”

Kawhi Leonard's full exchange with Ramona Shelburne regarding the Clippers/Aspiration investigation. "I understand the full contract and the services I had to do. I don't deal with conspiracies or the clickbait analyst or journalism that's going on." Kawhi adds, "I don't think it's accurate," that no services were performed and that he didn't receive the money that he was owed in the contract.

Paul George on if the boos from Clippers fans bothered him: “I mean it’s stupid. I was a free agent. It wasn’t something that I demanded a trade or went against the team. They presented a team friendly offer and I did what was best for me. There were cheers, those are the ones I played for. There were boos, I didn’t get it.”

Tyronn Lue had a great quote about Bam Adebayo’s 83-point performance and some of the criticism around it: “He shouldn't listen to it. He scored 83 points. It's Wilt, Bam, Kobe. It doesn't matter what people are talking about or saying. It's stupid. He got the record, no matter how he did it, or second best behind the 100. However he did it, whatever happened, he scored 83 points. That's something that's hard to do, no matter if you're playing against a high school team, a junior high team, 83 points is a lot of points. So I'm very happy for Bam, very happy for Spo, it was a great night for Miami.”
