I make cinematic music.

One Sunday afternoon, I was sitting at home. Phil was at the airport. He texted me “Hey… I have this idea for a bridge! Tell me what you think!” He sent a mumbly voice memo, with airport announcements in the background… but I still got chills as I listened. I knew it was special and could hear exactly where it was heading. I was so excited, I threw the mumbly voice memo onto my computer and started building a huge track around it… this is exactly what the song needed. A few months later, we were filming this song with a huge orchestra and choir… and it was SO POWERFUL and energetic in that room! So thankful for this collaboration!

I heard about Aubree Archibeck about 5 years ago when her dad randomly emailed me and sent me a video of her singing. I knew that someday we’d find something to collab on when the right song came along. And as I was working on this version of “How Great Thou Art” …Aubree immediately came to mind. I just knew. She was the perfect person to bring this song to the world. A combination of her heart, spirit, and her incredible voice. It was such an honor and a joy working with her and creating a powerful orchestral version of this song for the new album, THE RESURRECTION OF A KING. The full video is now on YouTube! Watch or listen to the album now!

This moment... I’ll never forget what happened when we recorded this. Chills. Tears. Disbelief. Bay Turner was born for this moment. He gave one of the best vocal performances of all time. What’s crazy is… a few years ago, he had a damaged vocal cord and the doctors told him he’d never sing again. He spent 3 months in silence, praying, and then to the doctor’s disbelief… a miracle had happened. And something that shouldn’t have healed, did. For him to be able to do THIS, after THAT… 😭🙌🏻Theres so many layers to this moment… this song is an anthem for our time. Despite what’s going on… we can say “It Is Well” because of ONE reason. Combining these 2 songs together wasn’t random… it was super intentional. When life throws things at us, we can say “It Is Well”. Why? “Because He Lives”. It’s the answer. It’s one cohesive thought: It is well, because HE lives. You can now watch the FULL YouTube video for this song, or listen on the brand new album, THE RESURRECTION OF A KING.
