quick tutorial (?) on blur with soft edges: if you select using lasso, selection pen etc and gaussian blur, the edges of the blur are sharp but if you use an airbrush to mark the areas on a new layer and use it as selection to blur, you can get a soft effect instead

another light trick for csp! use the divide blend mode with the complementary color of ur glow color (ie blue for yellow vice versa) divide preserves the relationship between your values when adding the glow effect, so you get a clean look

tbh i wasnt sure how to answer this bc there's no set process that i follow ^^; but this is probably the closest to my most used one sketch -> cleaner sketch -> flat -> block out light/shadow-> go crazy by slapping colors on top and pray -> adjust w curves
