I’ve never been to a more beautiful Race Track. Santa Anita Park is more than a racetrack; it’s a living piece of history that deserves protection. Its architectural beauty, racing legacy, and cultural significance make it an irreplaceable asset to California. By safeguarding Santa Anita Park, the state not only preserves a piece of its heritage but also ensures that this “Great Race Place” continues to inspire and entertain for generations to come.

A story of survival. One of our seasoned broodmares Inlovewithlove on March 6th faced a severe case of dystocia during foaling, making the delivery exceptionally difficult. When he was finally born, he appeared lifeless. Fortunately, Neil Clark, one of the most remarkable horsemen I’ve ever encountered, was present and detected a faint heartbeat. He immediately began working to revive the foal, using oxygen and every technique he knew for the next 15 to 20 minutes. At times, they questioned whether they would succeed, but miraculously, Neil and Josh managed to bring this Quality Road colt back to life. He spent the next week in the clinic and gradually progressed to the point where he could stand and nurse independently. As you can see, he is now unstoppable just a few weeks later.

SF homebred colt Madaket Road, a son of Quality Road, worked solo this morning at Santa Anita. He went a half-mile in 47 flat full of energy for Bob Baffert He is now officially qualified 18th for the 151st Kentucky Derby, which is just 21 days away. He is a talented and progressive colt. He needs to move forward over the next 3 weeks to be effective; thankfully, he’s healthy and happy and has experience under his belt. He will be in barn 33 Churchill Downs we couldn’t be more proud of the great team around these colts. 1/ST TV 🎥

Taj Mahal equals years of planning, investment, and horsemanship. To show up at the Preakness Stakes with a now local horse that was born and raised in Florida, he was originally trained in California and is now making a name for himself in Maryland. It’s incredible to be here with the Russell family and to see Brittany driving the sport forward and putting women right at the center of big-race days. I absolutely love this sport. Watching National Treasure fight the entire length of the Pilmico stretch and keep finding was epic. It was only his 6th-lifetime start. Keeping G1 company in 4 of those six starts. Johnny V John Velazquez showed the world that he's “a boss. “ He rode confidently, and National Treasure was there when he needed his all. Bob and #TeamBaffert had him primed for a big-time effort, and that's what we got.
