Failed rapper/NYC mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani: "America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy, where only a select few are allowed freedom, where not all are created equal. America, if you ask them, becomes less the more people it welcomes. America, they will tell you, belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin. The rest of us, they insist, should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit."

Morning Joe spends 5 minutes grilling Politico’s Adam Wren for running a story on Platner’s ex accusing him of rape. “Given the very high standards Politico has before they write something like this and publish it, what aspects of this story brought it to the level of publishable?”

Jeff Bezos explains to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez how billionaires are created: providing at least a billion dollars in value to society -- the opposite of exploitation. Bezos: "Let me give you a simple example. Let’s say you start a burger joint, and you have 10 employees, and you make a little bit of money.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “Until you have — this is — this just one — one outlet. And by the way, these are the most delicious burgers in the world. People love your burgers, Andrew. And so then, you open a second outlet —” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “— and now you’re making a little bit more money, and you have 20 employees. Nd you open a third outlet. By the time you’ve opened a thousand outlets, you are a billionaire.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “And by the way, this is a real life story, it happens all the time, it’s In-N-Out Burger, it’s Raising Cane’s Chicken. At what point did that money all of a sudden become unethical, or it didn’t? There was one outlet, and then there were two, and then there were three. What you’re doing — the way — the way you make a billion dollars, or a hundred million dollars, or 10 million dollars, or anything, is you create a service that people love. And if millions of people choose your service, you’re going to end up with a billion dollars.” SORKIN: “Right.” Bezos: “And you can, you know, just try it with a chicken franchise.” SORKIN: “Do you think though —” Bezos: “But your chicken has to be good.”

NYT's Nicholas Kristof to fellow progressives: "A black kid in Mississippi is 2.5 times as likely to be proficient in math & reading by 4th grade as a black kid in Calif. Do we need to look a little bit less at what the Trump Admin is doing ... & look a little more in the mirror?"

.Thomas Massie on Epstein: "[Trump] has been trying to protect his friends like Howard Lutnick, who ... was a bald faced liar just weeks before we got the files released ... But more importantly, there are enough names in there — you know, Leslie Wexner, Leon Black, Jes Staley — these are people who are mentioned in there. You’re innocent until proven guilty in this country. But there’s enough information there that there need to be investigations like there have been across the world. "I mean, there’s the prince of England is no longer a prince. The ambassador from Britain to the United States is now gone. The former prime minister of Norway is being investigated. It’s happening everywhere except for the United States."

AG Merrick Garland, March 7, 2023: "Our complaint alleges that JetBlue’s proposed $3.8 billion acquisition of Spirit violate Section 7 of the Clayton Act. We allege that if allowed to proceed this merger will limit choices and drive up ticket prices for passengers across the country. "And we further allege that the impact of this merger will be particularly harmful for travelers who rely on what are known as ultra low cost carriers in order to fly. Those include working & middle-class Americans who traveled for personal as opposed to business reasons & who must pay their own way. By acquiring Spirit JetBlue will eliminate the largest ultra low cost carrier in the United States.”
