I am telling you watch Eldoret with all your three eyes. These Talai elders are pretending to direct their anger and disappointment to Uhuru Kenyatta, but in truth and sense, it is to Kikuyus. It starts with elders talking like this and young men follow by actualizing the anger. This is how 2007 violence started. As NCIC Kenya waits for something actionable, their mandate seems not to detect hypocrisy and the source of the problem. I am speaking as a victim of the 2007 PEV, I know better and I am telling you this always heads to violence. But to the elders and the larger Kalenjin community with good will, it is time you intervene and talk to the bad elements, like these elders here👇. They should stop holding briefs for politicians as the quarrel about Wantam and Tutam is an all-Kenyans issue, not Uhuru's or Kikuyus'. NCIC should intervene too. Today, Njoro MP Charity Kathambi who is a key member of the National Assembly’s Environment, Forestry & Mining Committee asked the hard questions in front of CS Debora Mulongo, KAA Acting CEO Dr. Mohamed Gedi and PS Gitonga Mugambi on this undervaluation, but the Environment Committee Chair MP Vincent Musyoka Kawaya abruptly shut her down with a secretive private meeting. Minutes later, they emerged from a meeting speaking the same language. Curiously, CS Debra Mulongo seems not to have any information on this drama and only PS Gitonga Mugambi seems to know who wants to eat these trees with a spoon. Questions that are actually Answers have arose: 1. Why was the timber’s value slashed citing “tree degradation” without solid proof? 2. Why did KFS apply a flat average price instead of pricing trees by their varying sizes 3. Who stands to gain from this blatant undervaluation-and why 4. Why Eldoret 😄 This stinks of one man.
