Isaac Balami made me shed tears yesterday. I saw children orphaned by boko haram who he takes care of. 500 plus children under his care! They nearly swallowed him. Some children from his foundation are now graduates! God! I need to be blessed to be a blessing to others! Thank you Balami Isaac for renewing my hope in humanity.

An Open Letter to Governor Alex Otti Alex Otti Dear Sir, I just want to say thank you. Last Thursday, I traveled home to Arochukwu after work in Enugu just to spend the May 1 public holiday the next day. For many people, that might not sound like a big deal. But for those of us from Arochukwu, it is something we haven’t been able to do for years, making a short trip to Arochukwu just for leisure?? You must be an indaboski!!! Before now, traveling home was something we avoided, even during festive periods like Christmas. The road was simply too bad that those of us who dare travel will go from Umuahia to Akwaibom then to Arochukwu. It made journeys stressful, long, and sometimes even risky. Personally, it has been about four years since I last made a trip home. But this time was different. The road from Umuahia to Arochukwu is now smooth, dualized, and truly motorable. People now leave Umuahia by 7 pm and get to Arochukwu by 8 pm. That’s something we couldn’t have imagined not too long ago. People are traveling again. There’s movement, there’s ease, and there’s joy. And for that, I am deeply grateful. This is not just about a road. It is about reconnecting people to their homes, restoring a sense of normalcy, and giving us back something we had almost lost, the freedom to travel without fear or frustration. I am speaking for myself, but I know I am not alone. Many of us from Arochukwu see this, feel this, and appreciate it. We know where we are coming from. We understand that Abia State still has a long way to go after many years without real development. But these steps you are taking, even if they seem small to some, mean a lot to us. They give us hope. We believe you can do even more. We trust that you will continue to work towards rebuilding our state and positioning Abia where it truly belongs. We look forward to seeing our state rise, not just in words, but in real, visible progress until it stands proudly among the best in Nigeria. Thank you for remembering us. Thank you for this road. Thank you for making it possible for people like me to go home again at ease Yours sincerely, Mercy Torty A grateful indigene of Arochukwu

Nigerian Police has done it again! Please help me tag Nigeria Police Force Zone 7 Police Headquarters, Abuja @Jossy_Dannyking Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi My brother was coming back from church, driver packed along Wuse Market junction, opposite Zenith bank, a police officer approached the driver as he was about to move and started dragging the steering with him, people in the vehicle started pleading, this guy left the steering, came round the vehicle and spat on my brother sitting by the window unprovoked! My brother came down to ask him what he did to him, this guy carried a stick and started hitting him, his colleagues were asking him to stop but did absolutely nothing to stop or restrain him, instead they were asking my brother to run, someone who recently had an accident and can’t even walk fast. This police officer was smelling of alcohol and obviously didn’t act in his right mind. What would have happened if he had a gun? We will record another loss from police in a space of days? I’m so helpless right now, I’m so angry and so saddened. Someone will go to church and come back injured or in a body bag because we are Nigerians? What is the life of a Nigerian worth? Growing up, I’ve never seen my brother get into any trouble, I could swear as a human that he will never have a police case, but here it is, on his way back from church! This police man broke his glasses, repeatedly tried to smash his phone, hit him on his bad leg repeatedly. This hurts more than a heartbreak, I’m deeply hurt.

Tell me why you scheduled Public hearing and constitution review but you do not publicize it enough, then people heard it and turned out en mass only for this people to get the smallest hall at the ICC Enugu for all the South East Zone o. Then senators come and it feels like it’s a fanfare, singing their praises and beating drums when hunger is beating Nigerians. The sycophancy irks me! Nigerians are not serious.
