🚨 It’s hard not to feel a little bit sorry for Keir Starmer. Despite being one of the PM’s fiercest critics, seeing Starmer emotional at the end of his resignation speech did make me feel some sympathy for him. Unless you’re completely unfeeling, it’s hard not to. In my 40 years of political reporting, the senseless assassination of Charlie Kirk is one of the most shocking events I have ever witnessed. Why? Because while politicians have always faced the risk of attack from lunatics, Charlie was not an elected official. He was simply standing up for what he believed in and championing everyone’s right to free speech and open debate. I hope Turning Point UK 🇬🇧 continues to grow in Britain.
