SHINee was the first Kpop group to perform at Abbey Road in London, SHINee held multiple concerts in the US with SMTOWN, they also had western shows for their SHINee V tour besides Asia they went to Toronto, Vancouver, Dallas, and Los Angeles and for SHINee World III they performed in Mexico City, Chile, and Argentina. SHINee also had big fan bases in Russia and London, however, SM wanted SHINee to concentrate on Asia specifically Japan. SHINee's videos were always the first to be reacted to for people who didn't know anything about Kpop this was before dedicated reaction channels. Taemin had also been on Good Morning America in the US, where he was compared to MJ. Barack Obama also mentioned SHINee during an event. SHINee and Taemin also was in a US magazines. SHINee also did a TV show in Russia where they were introducing people to Kpop. I think you need to get over that many people knew of Kpop before BTS, like you will be okay

After leaving SM Entertainment Taemin received credits for helping write and produce his ETERNAL album In August 2024 Taemin began his first world tour, the Ephemeral Gaze tour which became the 9th most attended tour for a Korean pop solo artist of all time. From thinking he failed SM's audition, to crossing SM's tapped line participant's were warned not to cross, to passing SM's toughest audition, the Saturday audition, then growing into an amazing singer and dancer, both as a soloist and SHINee member, and now becoming the first K-pop soloist to be honored with a Grammy Museum exhibit. SHINee is on a worldwide scale and are the reason so many idols chose to become idols including your idols. Taemin is Jimin's role model and V became an idol because of SHINee. SHINee had international fans before BTS debuted and they also was the first Kpop band to perform at Abbey Road Studios in London

Taemin will be making his long awaited comeback this year and has been working on his album in the US for the past two months and is rumored to be working with Ian Eastwood his choreographer from his debut single Danger again. He is also collaborating with some artists in the US as well
