“This going to get a headline…” says Dianna Russini on Hoge & Jahns “I think the question we gotta start asking…is JJ McCarthy going to be a Minnesota Vikings Quarterback next season?” Is it time to start asking?

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson was asked if he enjoyed the rivalry with the Vikings… his answer was something. “No… I don’t enjoy going against the best guys in the league.” 👀

There’s only 3 players who have 20k pass yards and 3k rush yards since 2019… Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Kyler Murray. We now have all 3 Vikings QBs with Josh Allen comparisons.

Obviously the Vikings aren't on this list, as we are in great hands with Kyler Murray, but who's your favorite targets for the Vikings tonight? WR, C, RB, S, EDGE/DL?

This is incredible. Did not have Kevin O'Connell being the "coach" from the Russini traffic stop but here we are.

Listening to Vikings RB Aaron Jones pressor, it's pretty clear they're "dumbing down" the entire offense because J.J. McCarthy can't comprehend/execute it. Jones letting the world now they're not dumbing it down because of him and it takes acute thought and navigation from him to come up with words so that he's not throwing McCarthy under the bus 😂 "To me it's not complicated. I've been playing football all my life." (Via: Minnesota Vikings)

Biggest issue with these 3 teams? They're all in the AFC. Why would the Bengals want to trade Burrow in the conference? 5 years and no playoff wins for a GM/HC is not good, 6 is worse. Maybe we'll see the Vikings do something crazy to save their jobs.

Wow, a bombshell back and forth between Colin Cowherd and @DMRussini on Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy and how the organization is propping him up when it’s not the reality 🤯 “Do I think J.J. McCarthy is wowing everyone at training camp? No, I don’t… [Vikings fans] are going to be disappointed…” "There's almost this protective bubble or sort of an elevation of what he's doing..." "There is a lot of lifting up of JJ McCarthy..." Neither one holds back on what they're hearing about the Minnesota Vikings QB. 📽️ Herd w/Colin Cowherd

There seems to be two roadblocks in a potential trade involving J.J. McCarthy, which Alec Lewis maps out in detail. 1) Most of the NFL, as of right now, views McCarthy as a QB3 and not even a backup. His $5.5M of guaranteed money for QB3 is to high and turning teams off. 2) The polarizing views of McCarthy. Many speak highly of McCarthy's pedigree, while there's just as many that don't think he's a starting QB in NFL. (Via: The Alec Lewis Show)

There it is! Mike Florio saying Kevin O'Connell tried warning the Vikings FO J.J. McCarthy wasn't ready. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah didn't listen... and now he is FIRED. "This was rooted in, if not driven by, the ill fated QB decision of 2025. This tells us Kwesi Adofo-Mensah wanted what they got. J.J. McCarthy with journeyman backups and that O’Connell was cautioning against it. He was the guy saying this isn’t going to work”. (Via: ProFootballTalk)

Is Vikings DT Caleb Banks motivated enough for the NFL? Overall, Alec Lewis isn't worried about Banks, since he hasn't played a real snap yet and not all growth is "linear", but this caught my attention 👀 "You need to see the commitment level. You need to see the improvement quickly. The doginess. The violence. All of that stuff from a down to down, snap to snap basis. I think until you see that consistently it lends itself, I think, to the Caleb Banks conversation being present, regardless."

Wow 😳 Shots fired at J.J. McCarthy by Colin Cowherd and how much he thinks he’s going to suck in the NFL. “J.J. McCarthy, you’re going to see it very quickly. Is not what people think… J.J. McCarthy is a C QB. Have you ever seen J.J. McCarthy’s 4th quarter college stats and playing from behind… they’re terrible.” (Via: The Colin Coward Podcast / YT)
