VEGAS. DESERT. AURORA.. 🤯🤯 Crazy for those to be in the same sentence, let alone the same timelapse! I knew that the chance of catching Aurora was high on Friday so I packed up well before dark and headed just outside of Valley of Fire to a spot I tried to get to as of last april 2023’s big night of Aurora and didn’t. Friday night blew that OUT OF THE WATER!! I spent over 6 hrs out there shooting time lapses and photos on 2 different cameras. Kind of makes me wish I had 3 with me since last night’s Aurora was a dud… thanks to my friend Sarah for coming out to hang with me that night even though I had to drag you kicking and screaming! Lol I know that if you’re in higher latitudes, you need shorter shutter speeds to get good Aurora, but here are the settings I used.. CanonUSA 5DMK4 24-70 2.8 STACKED/BLEND ISO 5000 8 seconds F2.8 20 images focus stacked for foreground 400+ images for Timelapse with 1 second interval.
