Did you people know that just a few months ago, Onyema Okonkwo from Imo State raped and killed a 21-year-old nursing student, Wendy Achumba, because she refused to have sex with him? For those who don’t understand Igbo, in the video he was confessing and narrating what happened. He said he sexually assaulted Wendy with his friend and killed her shortly afterwards. I’m bringing this up because some people need to be reminded that femicide is prevalent in Nigeria. Women are not safe anywhere. Don’t let anyone gaslight you into believing that you are somehow safe from male violence simply because of where you live, who you date, what tribe you belong to, or what choices you make. Women can become victims at any time, anywhere. Stop turning women’s deaths into tribal scorecards. The problem is male violence, and women deserve to be safe. Justice for Chinaza. Stop Femicide in Nigeria.

Just in case you hate your life already, let me make it worse for you. 😭 An Emirati father spent $1.5 million, almost ₦2 billion, buying a rare white falcon his daughter bid for at an auction in Abu Dhabi, making it the most expensive falcon ever purchased. I’m willing to bet the accessories she’s wearing cost more than the falcon. 😩

“Abakaliki did not come from Igbo land.” I will keep getting vindicated. I called this rubbish out and they ripped me apart, saying I was lying and that no one says such.

Same people. 56 years later. Sometimes I wonder if, in the middle of the bombings, the starvation, the fear, and the endless funerals, they ever imagined a future like this for us. Where we smile and shine

I hope the ones who didn’t make it know that their children survived. I hope they know their bloodline did not end with them. I hope they know we rebuilt Igbo land. I hope they know it didn’t end with them. I hope they know their daughters grew into some of the most beautiful, resilient women in the world, and their sons became successful wherever they went. I hope they know that despite the war, the loss, the starvation, the displacement, and everything that was done to break us, ndi Igbo endured. We are still here. We rebuilt. We thrived. We will always remember.

This dude took colos, went to fetch water from a bucket, probably tripped, fell inside, and drowned. Nobody knew because he lived alone. It was only when a smell started coming from his house that the neighbors realized something was wrong and found his body, head stuck in the bucket and legs up.

OMG! 🤦🏽‍♀️ We’ve heard o. You people are not Igbo, we’ve acknowledged that. And if anyone ever said Ikwerre is Igbo, I apologize on their behalf. Biko, e don do. There are almost 45 million Igbos from the South East, we’re good and more than enough. This debate is becoming exhausting.
