Angel Reese’s Defensive Tape vs. Minnesota: Opponents scored just 4 points on 2-of-10 shooting when Angel Reese contested their shots. She also flashed her versatility by holding her own against opposing guards. Reese forced five turnovers—two of them steals—and, of course, came up with the game-winning block. ✨

With preseason play just four days away, it’s worth revisiting the tape from when Deja Kelly scored 8 points in just 70 seconds, including the game-winner, to lift Las Vegas past Phoenix 85–84 in a preseason matchup last year. She closed that game with a team-high 15 points. ✨

The last time Golden State faced Indiana, Tiffany Hayes and Kaitlyn Chen torched the Fever for a combined 37 points off the bench to help keep the Valkyries competitive throughout the night. Fatigue eventually caught up to Golden State in the second half after playing the night before, as the Valkyries fell 90–82. But with two days of rest this time around, Hayes, Chen, and the Valkyries will look to bounce back and avenge that loss when they face the Fever tomorrow. ✨

ON THIS DAY three years ago, No. 1 seed Virginia Tech opened the third quarter of the Final Four with a 17–7 run to take a 51–39 lead over the LSU. But consecutive baskets from Angel Reese shifted the momentum and changed the trajectory of the game. Those two baskets ignited a 35–13 LSU run. Reese played a major role in nearly half of those points—scoring 14 herself, forcing a steal that led to the free throw that tied the game at 62–62, and creating two second-chance points off an offensive rebound. The 6’3 forward finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds, and that 35–13 surge turned a 51–39 third-quarter deficit into a 79–72 victory, sending the Tigers to the program’s only NCAA championship game appearance. 🪄
