Small detail on Kennard's game winner: LeBron gives a little pull on Banchero's arm, getting LeBron a step on him. After the previous play got LeBron at the rim, Banchero went into emergency mode, not trusting that Bane would switch. By the time he realized it was too late

This was such a huge shot for Anthony Davis. To take this three with confidence and bury it with maybe the game on the line, he's at an ELITE level right now

LeBron’s BEST landing spot would actually be to reconsider & return to the Lakers. I mean… Luka/Sexton/Hardy/Bronny Reaves/Carr/Thybulle/Knecht Grimes/LaRavia/Williams LEBRON/Thiero/Vando Kessler/Mamu/Looney That’s a VERY interesting team

Re-watched Lakers vs Nets from March, some thoughts on Ziaire Williams: -telling that, when it was losing time (4th quarter), the tanking Nets kept him on the bench -Also telling that LA screened him off of Luka multiple times -Nets were comfortable switching him onto anyone. Defended Luka, LeBron, Reaves, Ayton & more. Excellent defensive versatility -Creates a low base when defending in the post to try to make up for strength deficit -His contests bothered numerous LA jump shooters. 6'9" frame serves him well. Unfortunate his wingspan is only 6'10". -Anticipates well, 94th percentile in steals % and it shows. Expecting LA to force more turnovers this season. -Willing shooter, hoping for league avg from 3. -Just turned 25, reasonable to expect continued improvement this season. -He is in the rotation day 1 and among several players competing for the open starting job in camp

During their last season together in Utah, Collin Sexton generated more assists by passing to Walker Kessler than any other Jazz player. I've been critical of the Sexton signing in general due to team defensive concerns/contract but he absolutely lives in the paint & has a built-in connection with LA's biggest summer acquisition. That's not to say Sexton is a pass-first player but when he does look to pass he loves finding Kessler.

Assuming the Lakers end up starting Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Walker Kessler, and Quentin Grimes, who SHOULD the 5th starter be? The candidates: Sandro Mamukelashvili Jake LaRavia Ziaire Williams Matisse Thybulle Adou Thiero Cameron Carr Jarred Vanderbilt

Nuggets went 1-5 shooting against Deandre Ayton in overtime while also chipping in 4 of LA's 9 OT points, including a huge offensive rebound and putback. Great to see DA playing like this
