Released in 1969, Harry J All Stars’ “Liquidator” became an international breakthrough, climbing to No. 5 in the UK charts and earning its place as one of reggae’s most enduring instrumentals. Do you remember the first time you heard “Liquidator”?

On this day in 1969, reggae classic "Liquidator" broke into the UK charts. Just a year into his career, Harry J struck gold with the track, which climbed into the top 10 and secured a top spot at number 5.

On this very day 55 years ago, Harry J's 'Liquidator' entered into the top 10 singles charts, cementing its place in music history.

In 1967, ‘007’ by Desmond Dekker &amp; the Aces became one of the first Jamaican hits to crack the UK charts. A promo video was rushed out, shot by Perry Henzell in Kingston, and aired on Top of the Pops - marking one of Jamaica’s first music films made for a global audience.

On this day in 1962, Jamaica gained independence after 300 years of British colonial rule. A very special date in history. 🇯🇲
