The group shared footage of the attack on May 13 and accused the NYPD of failing to adequately investigate the assault. Despite video evidence, it reportedly took four days for police to assign a detective, and the alleged assailant has not yet been investigated, CAIR claims. “Almost a month has passed since this violent incident took place. The victim is rightfully seeking action from the police and has gone above and beyond to secure evidence. It’s frustrating to experience indifference from the police,” CAIR-NY Executive Director Afaf Nasher said
