Today, I witnessed firsthand the consequences of yesterday’s Russian attack on Kyiv. Russia is deliberately trying to break people through fear, darkness, and constant nighttime attacks. But every such strike reveals the true nature of Putin’s regime — a regime that recognizes neither human life, nor international law, nor borders. And the Lukashenka regime bears its share of responsibility for this because it allowed Belarusian territory to be used for aggression, for launching missiles, and for deploying Russian weapons. But I want Ukrainians to know: Belarusians stand with you. We support Ukraine not because it is ‘politically correct’, but because we feel this pain as our own. We see your courage after every attack. That is true strength. And I am convinced: no missile can break a nation fighting for its freedom and dignity.

It was a great pleasure to meet 🇨🇦 PM Mark Carney at the #EPC Summit. Canada’s presence — for the first time — shows this is truly a community of values that extends beyond Europe. Belarusians deeply appreciate Canada’s solidarity in our fight for democracy and freedom.

Belarus belongs to Europe. Our future lies with the EU, not with Russian troops and nuclear weapons on our land. Our freedom matters for the security of all Europeans. Russia must leave both Ukraine and Belarus — and let our people choose their own future.

Today, I addressed the Belarusian military & officials. We must not allow our country to be dragged into Russia's war. It is crucial that we ensure all Russian troops exit Belarus & that we close our border with Russia. We must defend our sovereignty & protect our people.

Today in Vilnius, we welcomed heroes freed after years of torture in KGB prisons. Thanks to tireless 🇺🇸 efforts & unwavering 🇪🇺 support, they’re no longer behind bars, though forced into exile. Now we must help them heal—and keep fighting for those still imprisoned.

Together with 🇻🇪 President-elect Edmundo González & Pedro Urruchurtu Noselli, we had a powerful call with María Corina Machado—a true leader & inspiration to us all. We stand firmly with Venezuelans in their fight for justice & freedom. We face the same evil & fight for the same democratic future.

Dear María Corina Machado, your daughter Ana Corina moved the world today when she delivered your powerful #NobelPrize lecture in Oslo. Her voice carried your courage, your fight, and the hope of millions. Venezuela’s struggle is our struggle too — and we stand with you for freedom.

Exactly one year ago today, the regime last showed my husband, Siarhei. Since then, we have heard nothing. It's heartbreaking to know he has been alone in prison for 4 years. I share this pain with thousands of families with loved ones who are political prisoners in #Belarus.

Today marks 4 years since the stolen elections in #Belarus ignited our peaceful uprising against dictatorship. I urge you to show solidarity with everyone fighting for freedom, with those unjustly imprisoned & with their families. Together, we will prevail. #StandWithBelarus

I have no doubt that Alexei #Navalny was purposefully killed by the Putin regime. In #Belarus right now, dozens of political prisoners are held incommunicado by a regime that is allied with Putin. I call on the global community to take decisive action to save their lives.

Today, I paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide at Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and visited the Genocide Museum-Institute in Yerevan. We honor their memory and reaffirm our duty to stand against injustice and crimes against humanity wherever they occur.

The trial against me starts today in Minsk. I am charged with 10+ crimes. Does it change anything for me? Nothing. It is just the revenge of a pathetic dictator who lost power & tries to take revenge on all who stood up for freedom. Belarus needs real justice, not a puppet show.

Today, we mark Freedom Day and the International Day of Solidarity with ⚪️🔴⚪️. More than a century ago, in 1918, Belarusians declared independence. Now, Belarus lives under dictatorship—but our fight for freedom continues. And with your support, we will win. #StandWithBelarus

Today, the #Belarus regime has signed an agreement with Russia on the deployment of nuclear weapons. It would not only endanger the lives of Belarusians but also create a new threat against Ukraine & all of Europe. Even when they are talking about tactical nuclear weapons, most of them are still as powerful as the atomic bomb that killed 140,000 people in Hiroshima. The radioactive fallout would be much worse than the contamination that Belarusians experienced after the 1986 Chornobyl disaster. Last week, as G7 leaders gathered in Hiroshima, I urged the world to take action against this dangerous escalation. If we don’t react, then other dictators with nuclear ambitions will feel encouraged to raise the stakes. We can’t play this game, because there is only one outcome; nuclear devastation. Since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Putin has used his nuclear arsenal to intimidate the world. As the Russian army has proven ineffective, he is playing the last card that he has. But these threats didn’t stop the democratic world from supporting Ukraine in the fight for freedom. And we can’t let this latest piece of nuclear blackmail stop us. The deployment of any kind of nuclear weapons in Belarus is not only a violation of international commitments such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Budapest Memorandum of 1994. It also violates our non-nuclear status under the Constitution & the will of the Belarusian people. It will make Belarusians hostages to Russian imperial ambitions. It is not too late, but time is running out. I ask our partners & allies to take firm steps to prevent the deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus. I ask you to consider preventive sanctions on Russia & Lukashenka’s regime. They must know that if the deployment happens – the dictators will face devastating consequences. Belarusians deserve to live in a free, democratic & safe country. We all deserve to live in a free & safe Europe. Let’s make this come true.

There are thousands of heroes in Belarusian prisons. My personal hero—my husband Siarhei—is finally free after 5 long years. Our family is whole again. But so many families are still waiting. So many loved ones still behind bars. For them, we must keep going. We can’t stop.

Today, I want to send my special thanks to Ukraine 🇺🇦 — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський and - Kyrylo Budanov — for welcoming 109 political prisoners, our heroes, released and deported from Belarus. We will never forget your openness and solidarity. Slava Ukraini!
