OTD in 1964 Alan ‘Reni’ Wren was born. Without doubt a master on the drums, angelic backing vocalist, plus a multi instrumentalist and supreme song writer, his talent know no bounds. Wishing him a very Happy birthday Enjoy this isolated live take of Elephant Stone Valencia 89

The Seahorses or He Hates Roses as some might say, was John Squire’s musical outlet after leaving the Stone Roses. Some love em’, some don’t, this track however is a cracker. Enjoy!

Mani was the one member of The Stone Roses who vocalised frequently he wanted a reunion to happen. No wonder when he went on stage at Pyramid & Parr Hall back in 2012 this was his reaction 💥 👊🏻

Another Roses track featuring Mani, Sally Cinnamon live at the Hacienda 89. Listen to that warm bass sound, influenced by the likes of The Byrds, Mani certainly brought his A game when he joined the band 🩷

No matter reports of dodgy sound, Spike Island was at the time a mass gathering unheard of for an indie band, such huge gatherings were reserved for the likes of U2 etc… The Stone Roses broke the mold and Mani’s Fools Gold bass lines were central to the bands success 👌🏻🩷

Flowered Up loved the Stove Roses, they thanked the band in the sleeve notes of their album, and that love was returned when Mani was there to help when lead singer Liam Maher passed away. Anyone a fan? RIP Liam and Joe Maher #maniforever
