I am very proud to represent a thriving Jewish community in Hampstead and Highgate, especially the JW3 Centre which was recognised by the Security Minister in Parliament yesterday. The recent attacks in North West London are unforgivable. Many of my Jewish constituents are too afraid to worship, go to school, or be active members of our community. That’s why I reiterated my call for the Government to proscribe the IRGC as a terrorist organisation which is causing so much harm to the UK.

Over 50 leaseholders on the Hillcrest Estate in Highgate want to know when the Government’s leasehold reforms will come into effect. Scrapping marriage value and increasing the standard lease extension term to 990 years will be a huge saving to my constituents, but they need to find out soon. Yesterday in Parliament I asked the Government to provide an urgent update on these reforms.

My constituent tells me that she was drugged and raped by a powerful man she once worked for. She tells me how the police relied heavily on the suspect’s denial, and the case was closed despite the detailed evidence available. With less than 4% of rape allegations resulting in a charge, I urged the Government to take action.

I am deeply concerned that we are at risk of losing our beloved cafes on Hampstead Heath. These independent businesses are cornerstones of our community and part of the unique charm of the area we call home. Last week, I stood alongside campaigners at the Lido and Parliament Hill cafes to show my support for keeping the cafes independent. I’ve since met with the City of London to raise my constituents’ concerns directly.

Stabbings don't just impact us physically, they undermine community spirit. I'm lucky to have Kilburn High Road in my constituency, but the recent incidents of knife crime have been intolerable. I raised this in my speech in Parliament today. The Government's Policing Guarantee could not come sooner and its funding must be protected.
