Since I was asked in discord: This is done by sliding/transitioning from X to Circle after wind path (when Ryu jumps on top of enemies), as if you were JCing in DMC4 with backwards inertia. After that wait a bit and do FS > asap 360 triangle for the launching variation.

I don't know if someone has explained how this Gleam T small technique works, so I am doing it just in case. It's possible with both Yakumo and Ryu. Without hard lock-on, usually you will just have to dash away+Gleam T > left stick towards the enemy before the second slash+
