Let’s learn something out of Bruno’s story. 👉H. pylori test is NOT a definitive test for peptic Ulcers. 👉You can have H.pylori without ulcers or any symptoms. Or have H.pylori induced Ulcers. 👉Gastritis is different from Ulcers. Many people say, “I have an ulcer,” simply because they have stomach pain, burning or bloating. But symptoms alone cannot confirm that you have a peptic ulcer. 👉 Upper gastrointestinal ENDOSCOPY (gastroscopy) is the definitive test for directly diagnosing a peptic ulcer. During an endoscopy, a doctor passes a thin flexible camera through the mouth into the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. This allows them to: ✅ Actually see an ulcer ✅ Determine its location and size ✅ Check for bleeding or other complications. ✅ Look for other causes of your symptoms. ✅ Take a biopsy when necessary, particularly when there is a suspicious stomach lesion. W/o an ENDOSCOPY, we are guessing. It’s quite an expensive test and it’s not available in all facilities, that’s why we sometimes use indirect methods for most patients who can’t afford the service. ‼️For anyone with confirmed Ulcers , please take your meds as you pray 🙏 don’t throw them away.
