yeonjun said tubatu got teary eyed after listening to “long way long ride” 🥹 🦊 “long way long ride” is a song i wrote during a period when i was going through a hard time 👤 when was that? tell us about it 🦊 after no labels part 1 promotions ended, from when i started preparing for it up until pretty recently, like one or two months ago. 🦊 i was dealing with severe burnout and really struggling with deep self-doubt. it was really, really bad. for the first time in a very long while, i felt like i was hitting rock bottom. 🦊 i think it was a song where i was comforting myself during that time. 👤 really? i always tell artists who come on as guests, especially those who don’t write lyrics, that even if they don’t write songs, they should try writing lyrics. because that can be a way of saving yourself. 🦊 yeah, i really think that's true. 👤 "you still shine, jun-ah. morning will come, don't be afraid” i feel like whenever fans hear this part, it’s going to really hit them in the heart. even i feel something catch in my throat when I hear it 🦊 what surprised me was when my members heard it, i could see their eyes getting a little teary. so i was a bit surprised 👤 i wonder if everyone feels the same way? 🦊 the members? even though i never said anything, i think they probably already knew i was struggling

🧸 when we first debuted, the company really wanted to push a "prince" image for us. because of that, they wouldn't let me do things like aegyo when we went on variety shows. 🧸 even though i just wanted to give hearts or do a little aegyo for our fans, they intentionally made us avoid those things. 🧸 i couldn't even make heart gestures. the company banned it, so one time i went on a show and i did some aegyo right before the show ended without them knowing 🧸 but i got caught doing that. the company found out and i actually got in trouble for it 🧸 if i tried too hard to be funny or cute, they would just edit all of it out of the broadcast. i really hated to see us getting a reputation as "boring" group right from the start 🧸 because of that, there was this live streaming platform we used at the time. we all just said “hey, this is live, so the company can't stop us" 🧸 and we decided to just do whatever we wanted, and from that point on, it wasn't really that the company changed their minds, it was more like they just gave up on us.

🐰 do you remember that time? i think it was around when we were about to debut. we were practicing late at night, from like 9 pm until 3 am and we kept hearing strange noises outside. back then even as trainees, we already had some fans who liked us, so people would sneak around, open the door a little, and peek in. 🐰 but since we weren’t supposed to be revealed yet, we thought, “what is that? did fan come in again?” and if we went out, it might cause problem, so our dance teacher went out to check. then the teacher suddenly came back in saying, “omg, what was that, what was that?” looking scared we asked, “why? what happened?” and they said it was too scary so we went to check. 🐰 on the stairs, there were albums of another artist, and each one had an x mark on it, placed step by step along the staircase. 🐱it looked like some kind of curse ritual or something. 🐰when we saw it, we got chills right away. but we were so scared we couldn’t even think to clean it up, so we all just went back inside, completely shaken like “what do we do now?” what did we end up doing? i don’t even remember. 🐰that’s as much as i can recall. i just remember the chills from back then. it was right when we were about to be revealed, too. it was really scary. 🐰the albums were placed neatly on each stair, one by one, all with x marks on them. there were a lot of scary moments like that.

👤 they're really curious about why you decided to play the songs for the younger members beforehand for 'part 2’ even though you kept them completely hidden from them until the release for 'part 1’ 👤 they also said you’ve always seemed like someone who puts a lot of pressure on yourself to be perfect, so they’re wondering what your mindset was like this time 🦊 i think that’s actually really accurate. back when i was working on part 1, i always felt like i had to be perfect. i kept telling myself “i have to do everything perfectly” and i put a lot of pressure on myself 🦊 so during part 1, i don't think i showed it to the members until i myself really felt ready, literally not until the release day itself 🦊 but during part 2, those thoughts kind of got filtered through, and i realized that trying to be perfect was actually the path that took me further away from perfection. and once i became aware of that, i started wanting to learn instead and if you look at the lyrics too, there’s line "it's okay to just be that way" 🦊 after i started telling myself that, i felt a lot more at ease. i think that’s why i wanted to lean on the members a little more and let them hear the songs beforehand

zb1 gunwook mentioned beomgyu during his live! 👤 so there was this part where each of them to do like a ‘face attack’ thing one by one. and when it was beomgyu sunbaenim’s turn, he did his pose, and I was supposed to say something right after… but I totally blanked. I looked at him and just thought “wow, he’s so handsome.” like actually too handsome. I tried to fill the silence with some kind of mc line, but my real feelings just came out. ‘you’re really handsome. even as a guy, my heart kinda skipped a beat.’ that’s the kind of line i was supposed say, like mc style comment. but I panicked and just said exactly what I was thinking. “you’re really handsome” just like that. then right after, I was like, ‘pull yourself together….’ I was worried it might sound fake so I clarified, ‘no but, I really meant it.’ anyway, it was just my real self and mc mode clashing together. he’s really handsome.
