When I first released this, I didn’t imagine it would end up being one of my most popular animations. Perception is filtered through bias - what we see in others is incomplete and we substitute whats missing with pieces of ourselves.

I made this animation when this commercial came out. We had a curfew at 8PM in Montreal, or face fines up to $6K. A homeless man froze to death in a porta-potty because the shelters were either full or closed.

Some years ago, I animated a can of Campbell’s soup speaking to their board members. I imagine this scene played out during their public relations crisis meeting, right before they fired the executive who was caught on mic describing their soup as “shit for poor people”.

Surrealist animation often devolves into “putting a face on an inanimate object”, a trope I often catered to because 1. it’s fun, 2. people love it. Inevitably, I had to address this populist desecration of the medium.

One day you are animating a comically long noodle slurp, then years later Le Sserafim hires you to animate spaghetti and displays it at the third busiest airport in the world.

Made this almost two years ago, and everyone was like - what? - who? Anyway, going to post it now that he’s trending.
