Modern F1 sounds like junk compared to what you remember because race fuel is now environmentally regulated to be sustainable Old F1 engines from the early 2000/ used boutique fuels with ultra high octanes that allowed psychotic engines to scream like space lasers

What if Mass Migration caused the Roman Empire to Fall? - Below is a video by some Stanford scientists who ran a study on Rome - They discovered that at during the Empire, Rome had a huge influx of Migrants "There was a massive shift in Roman residents’ ancestry, the researchers found, but that ancestry came primarily from the Eastern Mediterranean and Near East" - They note how the average Roman would have started "looking different" --- This huge influx of migration came from several problems: 1 - The rulers love for slaves A noble aristocrat doesnt work does he? He conquers, and puts his conquest to work - feeding him, satisfying him, washing him, running his estate, and tilling his land By the end of the Empire 50% of the cities were slaves 2 - The "Roman" Dream As always and ever, everyone flocked to Rome for cash opportunity, and trade - it was the centre of the world 3 - Fertility Crisis The native Romans stopped breeding, this seems to be an recurring feature of high civilisation Wealth leads to luxury and freedom - why give that up for the toil of taking on the responsibility of a child --- This cascaded into a "Great Replacement" of the ancient Romans by the end The study adherents themselves noted: “It was surprising to us how rapidly the population ancestry shifted, over timescales of just a few centuries" “Another striking aspect was how cosmopolitan the population of Rome was, starting more than 2,000 years ago and continuing through the rise and dissolution of the empire. Even in antiquity, Rome was a melting pot of different cultures.” --- All of this leads to an uncomfortable premonition: Rome fell after this grand transformation There were other major forces - such as the erosion of the currency But the replacement of the Roman population seems to be significant in several major trends: --- 1 - The widespread loss in faith of the meaning of Rome Towards the end noone cared about Rome, noone would fight in the army, noone wanted to die for it This allowed the Goths to ramble in with little opposition There was barely any Romans left who were fighting for their city - to most it was an evil empire who ensalved their ancestors --- 2 - The political destabilisation that led to moving the Capital and the rise of Christianity Many of these freed slaves made their way into the bureaucracies in the cities By the end, what was left of the Roman farmers would go into their local admin and find foreigners running their government Many of the late Emperors were from foreign territories Famously, the capital was moved from Rome towards the Eastern city of Constantinople These enormous "new" populations of the late Empire are also the ones who chose to oust the "Roman" Gods and take on the Near Eastern Christianity A new people led to a new Rome --- By the end, the native Romans had: - Become sterile and irrelevant - Been replaced in their own homeland - Lost political representation in their own state - Had their ancestral religion overturned - Fell victim to barbarian kings At such a price, you wonder if great Empire is really worth it...
