We are saddened to announce that Uga X, fondly known as Que, died peacefully in his sleep earlier this morning. Born May 27, 2013, he formally began his tenure in a collaring ceremony at the Georgia-Georgia Southern football game on Nov. 21, 2015. Que retired following the 2022 season after becoming the most decorated of all the Bulldog mascots. He compiled a football record of 91-18, presided over two SEC titles, the 2021 and 2022 College Football Playoff national championships, and seven New Year’s Six bowl appearances. He will always be remembered as a Damn Good Dawg. #DGD

Last Saturday, we partnered with Georgia Power to honor Mercy Health Center. For 25 years, Mercy Health Center has provided free, medical, dental, behavioral, and spiritual care to uninsured neighbors across 13 counties of Northeast Georgia. Mercy's work is made possible by the talent of volunteer doctors, dentists, and counselors, the resources of generous donors, foundations, and businesses, and the servant hearts of thousands of current and former UGA students who have served patients. Together, they bring excellent care, compassion, and hope to those who need it most. #GoDawgs | Georgia Power

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and last Saturday, we teamed up with Georgia Power to celebrate the Impact of Positive Energy by honoring the Cure Childhood Cancer Club at UGA. The CURE Childhood Cancer Club is an organization dedicated to supporting children and families as they heroically face a cancer diagnosis and treatment. From packing hospital activity bags, providing meals to families during treatment, and fundraising to increase research on specialized treatments such as precision medicine, CURE at UGA engages in a variety of activities to support those undergoing cancer treatment.
