One year later, I visited Khartoum, the beautiful capital of Sudan, and I am speaking to you today from in front of Al Salam Hotel, one of the city’s most prominent landmarks. A year ago, these streets were engulfed by war and armed clashes. Today, however, the scene is different. Although the devastating scars of war are still clearly visible, life is gradually returning to the capital. According to an identification made by the military affairs researcher (Hammad Dafallah), this system is of the Brazilian model (ASTROS-II SS-30 rocket). In the background, someone can be heard speaking with a Libyan Arabic accent.

“Türkiye has officially begun the construction of its space station in Somalia.” Baykar CTO Selçuk Bayraktar says: “Türkiye has a spaceport in Somalia, at a location close to the Equator. When you have a coastline on the ocean, you can deploy launch vehicles. There are 12 such locations in the world. Only one remains, and one of the best is the space station that will be in Somalia. Its construction there has been started by Turkish goverment. Türkiye has a 30-kilometer spaceport. ROKETSAN will also use it. In the future, we aim to have the opportunity to use our own launch vehicles there as well.”
