Post-harvest loss continues to limit the income of smallholder farmers across Nigeria. To address this, Ebubechukwu developed Baza ng, a digital platform that links farmers to consumers, improving market access, reducing waste and strengthening the supply chain. By deploying field agents to onboard farmers from their communities, Baza ng helps ensure produce is visible, accessible and efficiently delivered. Ebube’s solution reflects a growing movement of youth-led innovation transforming agriculture from the ground up. Through the Young Africa Innovates Programme, she has gained mentorship, visibility and a network of peers shaping the future of agritech. The programme implemented by UNDP Nigeria in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation provides technical and financial support to young innovators solving real societal challenges.
