De Volkskrant, a Dutch newspaper, has released a video about Connor Storrie’s emergence in the fashion world. “Connor Storrie is a rising Hollywood star and an emerging fashion icon. Last year, Connor Storrie was still waiting tables at a Los Angeles restaurant. Today, crowds scream his name at the Met Gala. In less than a year, the 26 year old actor has gone from complete unknown to seemingly everywhere at once. His breakthrough came with the hit series Heated Rivalry, in which he plays hockey player Ilya Rozanov, one half of perhaps the most talked about love story of the moment. The fashion world quickly took notice, too. At his first premieres, Storrie still opted for safe suits: classic, but not particularly daring. Then everything changed: front rows, fashion weeks, and increasingly, Saint Laurent. At the Golden Globes, he appeared in a full look by the French fashion house. Shortly afterward, he sat front row at its menswear show. In Paris, amid a scorching heatwave, he wore a sheer black PVC trench coat with glossy boots - an outfit he had been in love with for months. For Storrie, it represented recognition. For Saint Laurent, having a young star who is willing to experiment is just as valuable. While many newcomers play it safe, he has embraced sheer tops, fur stoles, and used his body as part of the fashion statement. Storrie clearly understands that the body itself can function as an element of clothing. The same was true at the Met Gala. Halfway up the steps, he removed his jacket to reveal a cropped top with a front zipper. The crowd went wild. Within minutes, the internet was flooded with clips of the moment.
