The Aryan Invasion Theory, a narrative of Aryans invading and subjugating the native population of India, has resulted in the creation of a racial divide in our society. Mahalingam Balaji in Sept 2024 in the Madras High Court, seeking to restrain the NCERT and the State Textbook Committee (SCERT) from teaching the Aryan Race/Invasion Theory in our schools, Shri Balaji attended a hearing at the NCERT and submitted evidence refuting the Aryan Race Theory, in February 2025. It is heartening to note that, in response to this, the NCERT has confirmed that the Aryan Race Theory references will be removed from Class 8 textbooks from the next academic year.
