There is absolutely no self-request or other element of personal interest in true worship; we simply worship God for what we comprehend him to be. Post 60 - God Is Not Hiding — We Are The Father desires all his creatures to be in personal communion with him. God is approachable, the Father is attainable, the way is open. The Father is not in spiritual hiding, but so many of his creatures have hidden themselves away from Him in the decisions of their own willful determinations, and, for the time being, have separated themselves from communion with his spirit, and that of his Son, by choosing selfishness over altruism, by choosing self-assertiveness with their intolerant minds and unspiritual natures. Post 72 It’s Important to Know Who Jesus Is Jesus did not begin His life on this world. He is a divine Son of God who came from Paradise in the far distant past, entering this region of the grand universe to establish and rule His own Local Universe. Sovereignty over His creation was not assumed — it had to be earned. To fully understand and govern the beings He had created, it was necessary for Him to live among them, descending through the different orders of life He had brought into existence. His final bestowal was here — on our world — living as a mortal man. He lived a truly human life, yet without sin, always revealing the love and character of His Heavenly Father. And when His life in the flesh was complete, He could say with full authority: “It is finished.” We live in His creation, so He can truly declare: “No one comes to the Father except through me.” THE URANTIA BOOK
