Noa Ojea Cobiella is the real deal. He is at the level of the players that have been called into the USMNT camp.

Liam West is on a completely different level than the last time I scouted him. He needs to be a top-priority USYNT dual-national recruit — potentially at the very top of the list. Dynamic, left-footed winger with real game-breaking ability. Son of former USMNT player Brian West. You can check him out here (#15 RW)

If you're a family trying to figure out which MLS academy is right for your player, or just a fan interesting in the academy landscape, this is what I've been building. All 27 U.S.-based academies ranked and broken down — how they invest, how they recruit and retain, and what they've actually produced. Same rubric for every club. Out Monday.

Some clips from the USYNT U-15’s 4–3 loss to England. The boys were up 3–1 at one point. It was a fairly even match overall, with perhaps a slight edge to England. This was the highest level many of these players have faced, and it revealed who was most prepared for the intensity based on the competition they regularly play. Many of the players who compete “up” an age group performed well, while some who do not regularly face top-level competition struggled at times. Starters who impressed: Diego Ros (MOTM), Zamir Loyo Reynaga, Benji Flowers, and Santi Suarez. Subs who impressed: Daniel Brown, Wilson Mazariegos, Nick Harris, and Christopher Gonzalez. Tommy DiMaria also had a very nice play to set up a near equalizer. Overall, a decent showing. The pitch was in rough condition as well—players were slipping all over the place.
