This is a video of my son, Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Hassan, from one of my visits to Kuwait, where we met Sheikh Muhammad Jamil al-Nuristani, hafidhahullahu ta'ala. Meeting him left a real impression on my son. I explained to him the status of the scholar and what a privilege it was to be able to put my questions to him. Among the things I asked about was Muhammad ibn al-Wazir al-Yamani. I had been reading his works, and I asked the Sheikh about some of them and about what I had come across in them, as well as about Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and some of the statements of Sa'd al-Din al-Taftazani. My son sat there listening to the whole conversation. When we left, he said to me, "Dad, I really enjoyed being with the Sheikh. It motivated me." I share this, my brothers and sisters, because it is so important to bring your children along on your journeys in seeking knowledge. Let them see the scholars and the people of knowledge. Let them see you, their father or mother, sitting as a student and learning from the ulama. That leaves a deeper mark on them than any lecture or two you could give them yourself.

Ustadh AbdulRahman Hassan calls on the Muslims in the West to unite, stand together, and leave behind the divisions that weaken us. Our strength is in our unity. "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided." (Āl ʿImrān 3:103)

Alhamdulillah, the dawrah ’ilmiyyah held today at masjid tanzil was a great success by the tawfīq of Allah. Students of knowledge gathered in good numbers to sit with Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan, benefitting from clear, well-grounded lessons delivered with the depth. The atmosphere throughout was one of eagerness and attentiveness, and many left expressing how much they had gained in a single sitting. The good news is that this is only the beginning: Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan has further lessons scheduled in Kenya in the period ahead, and all who are able are warmly encouraged to attend, bring their families, and take their share of this khayr. As the Prophet ﷺ said, whoever treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise. Do not let the opportunity pass you by.

Sins are not compatible with your body. Your fitrah keeps rejecting it and when you force it, you break down from the inside. Depression, sadness, emptiness. Your soul dehydrates without obedience the same way your body dehydrates without water.
