The Deputy First Minister has said she will not be "punishing the people of Northern Ireland" as she attended an engagement alongside First Minister Michelle O'Neill in Belfast on Friday morning. Emma Little-Pengelly was responding after it was put to her that their attendance looks like "business as usual". On Monday, DUP Leader Gavin Robinson insisted it cannot be “business as normal” at Stormont following alleged “law breaking” by Sinn Féin members on the Garvaghy Road in the ongoing Drumcree dispute.

The Portadown Lodge has rejected the current offer aimed at resolving the Drumcree dispute. Talks are expected to continue later. Yesterday they and the Garvaghy Road Residents Coalition met the secretary of state at Hillsborough Castle and proposals were put to both sides which residents said were acceptable, however this morning the Orange Order said that document which it described as a 'discussion document' is off the table.

Retired shirt factory worker Margaret McMonagle told Chris Bryant she was unhappy with a £187,000 statue erected in honor of industry workers. Factories staffed mostly by women once made Derry a powerhouse in the global textile industry. The exchange between the pair remained good-natured and lighthearted. Derry City and Strabane District Council said they "engaged extensively" with the public and representatives about the sculpture. They said it’s disappointing that some within the factory girls group felt excluded from the "very open and transparent exercise" and they are "always happy to meet" with them to discuss any concerns.
