The DUP's Gregory Campbell has told the Irish President 'you are in our country' during her visit to Londonderry. In a short meeting the MP also challenged President Connolly on what he described as her imbalanced address for only referring to the city as Derry. In their interaction, the President said she is 'here to listen' but Mr Campbell warned her not to rewrite history.

Two soldiers “lost control” in the fatal shootings of five people in Belfast almost 54 years ago, a coroner has said. The British Army soldiers did "not use reasonable force" in the shooting of a Catholic priest, a father-of-six and three teenagers in two areas of west Belfast on July 9 1972. Mr Justice Scoffield said that Father Noel Fitzpatrick, 42, father-of-six Patrick Butler, 38, and teenagers David McCafferty and Margaret Gargan were unarmed and posed no risk when they were shot.

A recently-retired Catholic police officer from west Belfast says he would think twice about signing up as a new recruit, because of the personal sacrifices which have to be made when joining. ‘Michael’ was speaking to our Crime and Security Correspondent Sharon O’Neill as it was revealed that the number of Catholics applying for the PSNI has fallen to a 13-year low. Two brothers who are running 32 marathons in 32 days to raise money for dementia research have said they couldn't have done it without Ireland's support. Jordan and Cian Adams were diagnosed with a rare gene which causes frontotemporal dementia, the same disease that claimed the life of their mother Geraldine who died at the age of 52. With a mission to make dementia visible, the pair are set to smash their £1 million pound fundraising target for the Irish Challenge. Read more here:
