Dear Elon Musk I recently watched clips from an interview in which you shared your thoughts about the future. One statement particularly caught my attention: your suggestion that in ten years, by around 2036, money may no longer matter in the way it does today. If that is truly your conviction, then I have a challenge for you: live it. You have amassed extraordinary wealth. If wealth will become less significant in the future, then perhaps the greatest use of it is now—while it can still profoundly shape humanity's future. I encourage you to commit a meaningful portion of your wealth every year to solving problems that will outlive all of us. May I offer one place to begin: Africa. Africa has given immeasurably to the development of the modern world. For centuries, her people, her resources, and her potential have fueled the rise of global powers, yet she remains home to some of the world's deepest developmental challenges. As a son of Africa, you have a unique opportunity to help rewrite that story. And if I may be even more specific, I would point to Nigeria—Africa's most populous nation and arguably the country whose transformation would have the greatest ripple effect across the continent. My appeal is not for charity or traditional aid. We have had decades of those. My appeal is for something far more enduring: help us build systems. Help us create the governance, institutions, technology, and constitutional framework that can unlock Nigeria's potential and make the nation efficient, accountable, and sustainably prosperous. Imagine committing $50 billion annually toward long-term transformation, with a meaningful portion dedicated to supporting a peaceful restructuring and institutional renewal of Nigeria. Such an investment would not simply change one country; it could alter the trajectory of an entire continent. If this vision resonates with you, I would welcome the opportunity to share a practical framework for how such a transformation could be responsibly designed and implemented. History remembers those who accumulated wealth. It reveres those who used it to transform civilizations. May God grant you wisdom as you consider the legacy you wish to leave. VALENTINE OZIGBO CONVENES MAIDEN NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE VALIANT MOVEMENT ABUJA, Nigeria — Valentine Ozigbo, business leader and founder of the Valiant Movement, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, convened the organisation's first National Conference, bringing together coordinators and leaders from all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory for a day of orientation, leadership training, and strategic planning. Held at Hotel De Bently, Abuja, the conference marked a significant milestone for the non-partisan leadership and citizenship development initiative, which is anchored on the principles of courage, character, and capacity. Activities commenced on Friday, June 12, with a welcome dinner that brought state leaders together for the first time as a national body. The gathering provided an opportunity for delegates travelling from across the country to build relationships ahead of the conference, reflecting the movement's belief that enduring national transformation must be rooted in genuine community and shared purpose. Delegates reconvened on Saturday for the main conference, where they were formally introduced to the movement's vision, values, structure, and strategic direction before participating in a packed programme featuring presentations by members of the national leadership team. Delivering the keynote address, Ozigbo, a multiple-award-winning global CEO, described the gathering as fundamentally different from traditional political assemblies. "This is not merely another conference," Ozigbo told delegates. "It's not another political meeting. It's not another gathering of people looking for positions or titles or applause. This gathering is different." He argued that Nigeria's most pressing challenge extends beyond politics. "At its deepest level, Nigeria suffers from a crisis of leadership values, civic consciousness, and moral courage," he said. Ozigbo painted a picture of decades of normalised corruption, transactional leadership, and widespread civic disengagement. "Too many young people have concluded that integrity does not pay," the acclaimed political leader said. "Too many leaders now pursue power without purpose." While acknowledging leadership failures, he insisted that citizens also bear responsibility for national renewal. "A nation does not collapse only because leaders fail. A nation also collapses when citizens abandon responsibility," Ozigbo said. "A society does not die merely because bad people exist. A society dies when good people surrender responsibility. That is why the Valiant Movement was born." Addressing what he described as "the tyranny of blame," Ozigbo challenged Nigerians to move beyond assigning responsibility for the country's problems and focus instead on solutions. "Responsibility is the highest form of power," he said. On the question of restructuring, Ozigbo clarified his position. "When I say restructuring, let me define it. I don't mean division. I don't mean hatred. I don't mean violence. I don't mean the destruction of Nigeria. I mean the honest redesign of systems and governance structures so that this country can work more fairly, more efficiently, and more sustainably for all its people." He argued that political restructuring must be accompanied by a restructuring of values and mindset. "We must restructure how we think, how we lead, how we speak, how we treat truth, and how we understand citizenship and responsibility, because a corrupt mind will eventually corrupt even the best institutions and constitutions." Responding to questions about the movement's political intentions, Ozigbo emphasised that the nationwide structure was not being built to advance any individual's political ambitions. Instead, he described the Valiant Movement as a long-term civic and cultural intervention aimed at transforming leadership culture and citizenship values.

The case before the Federal High Court in Awka challenges Nicholas Ukachukwu's eligibility as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra election. I seek a judicial review of breaches of the APC Constitution and the final outcome of the Primary. If I succeed, I will be the governorship candidate of APC in the 2025 Anambra governorship election. This is not a personal battle—it is a principled stand to ensure that integrity, due process, and fairness are not sacrificed for political expediency. Yesterday, on the sacred Festum Beatae Mariae Virginis Fatimae (Feast of Our Lady of Fatima), I embarked on a deeply personal pilgrimage through the spiritual heart of Catholicism here in Rome. I had the honour of visiting two extraordinary Marian sanctuaries: the Basilica Sanctae Mariae Maioris (Basilica of Saint Mary Major) and the Ecclesia Sancti Alphonsi Mariae de Ligorio (Church of Saint Alphonsus of Liguori). At Santa Maria Maggiore, the first Marian basilica in the Western Church and one of the four major papal basilicas, I was enveloped by the tranquillity of its sacred halls. Here lies the tomb of our beloved His Holiness Pope Francis, a towering moral force of our time who guided the world with gentleness, clarity, and radical compassion. I had the solemn privilege of praying at his tomb and lifting my dear homeland — Nigeria, and my beloved state — Anambra, in Holy Mass, entrusting our hopes to God under the tender gaze of Our Lady, Mother Mary. From there, I continued to the Sanctissimus Redemptor et Sanctus Alphonsus in Via Merulana — the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer and Saint Alphonsus of Liguori — home to the original 14th-century icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. This powerful image of the Blessed Virgin — the Virgin of the Passion — has comforted the hearts of millions across the globe. Standing before her, I whispered prayers for personal strength and peace in our land, light for our leaders, and help for all who labour under the weight of despair. To experience this on May 13th, a date etched into Catholic memory through the miraculous apparitions at Fátima in 1917, was no coincidence. In a world shaken by uncertainty, Our Lady’s call — to pray with devotion, to repent with humility, and to hold fast to the hope of peace — rings with renewed urgency. May this time draw us back to heartfelt prayer and a deeper service to one another. May the Holy Spirit grant wisdom and strength to the Church under the shepherding of His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV. Umunne m, Ndi Anambra, It is time for us to stand united and address the insecurity that has devastated our homeland, making it a thing of the past—whether or not Governor Soludo prioritises it. Under our collective watch, the most critical task at hand is ensuring that Ndi Anambra can once again sleep peacefully, free from fear. We must move beyond assigning blame—whether to the churches, traditional institutions, or any other group. Coexistence is possible as long as we all operate within the bounds of the law. As our people wisely say, “Nwa mmụọ anaghị agba nwa mmadu; nwa mmadu anaghị agba nwa mmụọ” (Let neither the spiritual nor the human destroy one another). Enough is enough. To the youth engaged in these harmful activities: I acknowledge the economic challenges you face, but destroying your own communities or life you haven't created is not the solution. Reports confirm what we already know—both state and non-state actors have turned our region into a battlefield. I call for immediate action: 1. A state security summit to develop sustainable solutions. 2. Greater accountability from security agencies. 3. Comprehensive youth empowerment programmes to address root causes. 4. Organization, strengthening and synergizing of local security structures 5. Setup a “ See Something; Say Something” regime to garner deep intelligence to make criminals to be afraid of their shadows. This is not about politics—it is about survival. The documented violations of Nigerian criminal law and international humanitarian law require urgent intervention. No more delays.
